About
When I was 14, I wrote an essay about bread. That solidified my two deepest loves (bread and writing). One English degree and one Theology degree later, I found a third passion to complete my personal trinity: conflict transformation—more specifically, dialogue.
As a dialogue facilitator, my mission is to cultivate spaces where we can honor and converse in the midst of difference. It sounds nice—but the gritty, emotional, and difficult work of conversation across true difference requires careful planning and thoughtful facilitation. I’ve worked with international groups, in cross-cultural settings, with youth, with interfaith groups, and in higher education, and I’m currently a fellow at Essential Partners. If you’d like to join in on this transformative, essential work, please reach out below.
As a writer, a podcaster, and a dialogue facilitator, I'm perpetually in search of better questions. During graduate school, I began calling on literary, poetic, and theological voices to study how we speak about the divine (a favorite question of mine). Because of religions' ability to access the liminal part of the human experience, I'm convinced of its beauty and its ability to wield enormous amounts of power. I want to work towards building a world where we are wary of this kind of power while recognizing the beauty of a life lived out of profound convictions. My podcast tries to do just that by providing a platform where people can investigate difficult religious topics and experiences.
Everything I’m committed to springs from my love for deep thought, questions, and a belief in restoration. But I also love to dance, hike, ski, travel (I have a blog dedicated to travel alone), and to bake an obnoxious amounts of cookie dough. Life is full of challenges, but also full of laughter. Let’s greet and welcome both.
